Updates…

It seems that the last entry I had in this blog was back in November 2008. It's now April 2009. That's a really long time. Haha.

Initially I was thinking on writing about last year's Christmas Eve and this year's New Year and Chinese New Year celebrations but somehow I can't manage to get myself to really sit down and blog on it.

Life has been fine so far. Still living the same old life style. Nothing has changed. However, I did have some disappointment. I guess some things are just not meant to be for me. Despite all that, life goes on. Who knows maybe things will turn around someday.

I really have no idea what else to write so far. Kinda out of words for now. Haha. Anyway, stay tune for the upcoming entry. Hopefully it will be soon. Hehehe…:)

Life...

What is life?

Life is a story. The first chapter begins when you're born while other chapters begin as you grow. No one knows what is going to happen in every chapter of life as each chapter has it's own surprises. You'll never know what to expect. So, always be prepared to face whatever is coming ahead of you. No matter how it goes, always face life with smiles and joy.

"Be thankful for the life that you've got. Stop looking for what you ain't got and start being thankful for what you do got." (quoted from the song "Live Your Life" by T.I.)

Always live life the way you want it to be. Don't let others tell you what you should do. You are the one who decide what you want in your life. You are the one who decide your own path.

Why am I writing these kind of stuff? A bit emotional? Don't worry. I'm just simply expressing my thoughts about life. Don't think too much guys. Hehe.

ah^fook is fine. He's still living his life in his own way. Enjoying every moment of his life with joy and fun and living it cool. But there's something that keeps him waiting. Someone told him not to but he just can't as his reason is there. He'll be waiting till the day comes. He doesn't know when will it be but he will keep on waiting for it without knowing what to expect. Life is just full of surprises.

An update on ah^fook's life

It seems that I've not been blogging for quite some times. Well, nothing to blog about lately. Let's just say the laziness to blog is here again. Hahaha.

What have I been doing lately? Nothing much I would say. Life goes on as usual for me. Work from Monday to Saturday, scouting on Saturday afternoon and hanging out with friends during the weekends. Just living my daily routine and ordinary life.

Oh ya, went to Kpg Annah Rais and the Hot Spring near Borneo Highlands with friends last Sunday. The trip was really refreshing especially when you've been working everyday for long hours. It's really the time to relax my mind and body. Swimming in the streams, enjoying the view and the sound of mother nature really refreshes me a lot. Too bad I don't have any photos for the trip. I'll try to get it and maybe, if I'm not lazy, I'll tell you all more on the trip.

It's really been a while since I last went out to the nature and enjoy the best of mother nature. We did plan to have camps before but apparently our plans have to be cancelled due to the poor response from the members. Kids nowaday really don't know how to enjoy what mother nature has to offer. Don't they know that camping is really fun. I really miss camping. Miss the activities, the fun and especially getting out there in the wild. Kuching District Camp (11/12 till 15/12/2008) is coming soon though and I'm really looking forward to it. Hope it will be an enjoyable camp.

Anyway, I'll try to blog more when I can (erm, when I'm not feeling lazy...hehe) next time. Stay tune for the latest happenings in the life of ah^fook. Till then, stay happy and enjoy your wonderful life at all time. I'll be there for you when you need someone...I'll be waiting... :)

What happened...

Last Saturday, I did something that I never thought I would do. To all my friends who were there with me, I'm sorry for my misbehave. I know all of you were shocked to see what I did. So am I. I really didn't expect myself do act like that either. Letting myself loose. Too loose I would say. I guess the wild side of me just came out all of a sudden. Paiseh ar everyone~!

Life is full of surprises. There's ups and downs in it. But no matter what happen, live life happily and to the fullest at all times. Like what I've always said, "Live life to the coolest~!". I don't know what's going on in your life right now but I will always be there for you if you need someone. Stay happy always. ah^fook is always there for you. :)

Someone told me I've changed over the past few months. It seems that now I'm happier than before. But did I really change? Or is this the real me? I don't think I've changed at all. I guess the person I am right now is really who I am. A person who is always easy going and staying as cheerful as he can be at all times. Always looking for joy and fun in life. Always living his life to the coolest~! Oh...yeah~! ;)

Rainforest World Music Festival 2008

Last Saturday (12/07/2008), me and my friends went to the second day of RWMF 2008. Most of us all were first timer to the event. The ticket had gone up to RM90 which is more expensive than the previous years. We went there at about 4.00pm because we didn't have our tickets yet at the time. Fearing the tickets might be sold out earlier, we decided to go there earlier.

We had to park our cars at Santubong Resort and take shuttle bus to Sarawak Cultural Village. While parking my car, I saw Kenny Sia with 4 hot chicks. Damn, what a lucky guy!

The shuttle service was not free. We have to pay RM5 per person for a trip to Sarawak Cultural Village and another RM5 for a trip back to Santubong Resort. So actually the total price for the event should be RM100 per person.

At the entrance to Sarawak Cultural Village

While waiting for the event to start, we had a tour around Sarawak Cultural Village. It's been a while since I last went to the place. I think it should be about 10 years ago.

The show started at about 7.30pm with performance from local cultural performers followed by various international performers. I think the best performance of the night would be Beltaine from Poland. The music they played were very nice.

And also this guy from Japan. Hiroshi Motofuji. The way he played the drum was amazing.

There were really lots of people that night. It was said that the event that night had a record of 9,063 people which exceeded it's capacity of 8,000 people.

Due to the heavy rain on Friday night, the organiser tried to cover the wet ground with sand to improve the ground. I think none of them were from the construction line because they did not compact the sand after they have laid it on the ground. In the end, the whole ground was covered with mud. Mud that really smells. But it didn't bother me much. Instead, it reminded me of camping. I sure miss camping a lot. Haven't been camping for quite a while.

It was great music and great fun throughout the night. Despite the muddy ground condition, we all had a lot of fun that night.

Time flies when we are having fun. It's time to go home~!

I would definitely be going to next year's edition of Rainforest World Music Festival. Anyone want to go next year? Mark your calendar now. See you all there in 2009~! Oh yeah~! :)

How lucky can I be...

A few months ago I actually signed up for a Visa credit card with Public Bank but somehow when I went to collect my card, I was given a Manchester United MasterCard. Being a Manchester United's fan, so I didn't bother about it and just kept the card and use it. Then, a few weeks ago I received a letter from Public Bank. I was selected as one of the monthly RedRewards of MU Finance prize draw winners from Malaysia.

It even came with a letter and certificate from Manchester United to certify that I was the winner. I was so so happy to have my name printed out in a certificate issued by my favourite football club, Manchester United!!! Hahaha...

Besides that I was also given a limited photo print of the club, Park Ji Sung in action.

I guess that's how they encourage users to spend more with their credit card. Hahaha...Hopefully I will get to win more stuff from MU Finance for using the card.

Manchester United have just won this season's Barclays Premier League. Woohoo~! Manchester United is the best. After 38 games, with 2 points clear from Chelsea FC and superior goal difference, Manchester United Football Club has once again proved that they are the best team in the Premier League. Oh yeah~!

Now hope they will be able to win this year's UEFA Champions League against Chelsea FC in Moscow on 21st May 2008. All supports to Manchester United Football Club. Glory Glory Man United~!

Finally I get to relax

Finally after 2 weeks of continuous OT, today I get to relax and enjoy. The past 2 weeks was really hectic. I had to work till late everyday. Most of the time, went home at 7.00pm and sometimes went home at 10pm.

Last night finally finish the Qatar tendering job. Everyone was so relieved. We all left office at about 10.30pm. Then I went to have some drinks with 2 of my colleagues. We went to Rain Cafe and then went to Triangle for a second round. We drink till around 2.30am.

Today I get to sleep till 12pm. It's been a while I had a long nice sleep. All thanks to the public holiday. I got 2 days to relax. Tomorrow is also a public holiday. So I'm going to make full use of these 2 days to really relax and enjoy myself. Haha.

Work work work...so tiring. Relax and enjoy life...never seems to get tired of it...Hahaha...

Harmonica

Recently I have took up a new thing to do...HARMONICA. Haha. I actually bought a harmonica few years just for fun. All these while I never know how to play it. Just simply blow anything that I think sounds right.

Then the opportunity for me to really learn how to play a harmonica come. Without any hesitation I attended for the harmonica class.

At first I always thought harmonica is easy to learn but not until I went for the lesson. Man, it was not as easy as I thought. Haha. Blow, draw, blow, draw. Just like breathing except that have to exhale and inhale a bit more harder for the sound of the harmonica to be heard.

I even went to buy new harmonica after a few lessons. Hehe. I just know by then that there's a lot of type harmonica available. There's the 24 holes harmonica, short harmonica (not sure how many holes), C-chord harmonica, octave and many more. There even harmonicas for BASS. Interesting. Not as simple as it seems.

Now, I ended up having three harmonicas. Hehe. Sometimes I would simply pick one and just play according to what I know. For lessons I will still use the old one. I find it to be heavier and solid compare to the new ones that I bought. The old one is made of wood, which is no longer for sale, whereas the new ones are made of plastic. Well, for beginner it is recommended that you start with a wooden harmonica. So, I just stick to my old harmonica for my lessons and practice using the old and the two new ones.

Difficult as it may seem, as the lesson goes on, I'm getting there but not that good yet. Still need lots of lessons and practices. So far I have learned 9 songs. Simple songs as in Oh Sussanna, Mary Had A Little Lamb, Do Re Mi etc. I have also just learn Back To Gilwell. I also managed to figure out how to play the national anthem, Negaraku, on my own. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to find the key for the songs that you want. Of cause this comes from several trials to find the correct key.

There are many lessons to come. Hopefully I will be able to really master the Art of Harmonica soon. Hehe. What I'm learning now is just the basic. Blowing a sound at a time. In a more advanced level, you can blow two sounds at a time. Not sure when I will be able to get to that level. Haha.

End of CNY 2007 Celebration...

Two weeks ago, we celebrated CNY 2007 (the year of the Pig). Well, CNY this year doesn't feel the same. Everything feel different from what we experienced from the previous CNY. Things are going very slow this year. Take buying CNY stuff for an example. Everyone seems don't really care about buying all the food and drinks till the last minutes (2 or 3 days to CNY). Is it because of the economy??? Or people are tired of CNY???

On CNY eve, the fireworks launch by Kuchingite was not as grand as previous years. Maybe is because of the weather. It started raining at about 9pm. When the clock strike 12am, when people usually eagerly waited for the moment for the big WAR (firecrackers and fireworks display competition...HAHA), it's still RAINING. Really spoiled the mood lah. *Sigh*

Could it be of the warning that was given out by the government on fireworks made Kuchingite don't dare to play fireworks before and during CNY? Come to think of it, the warning was given out every year. Kuchingite has always ignore it. This year only they listen? Hmmm, don't think Kuchingite are so obedient. HAHA.

No much visiting was done this year. I stayed most of the time at home. Felt lazy to go out. Haha. Still i manage to get lots of ang pau. Haha. Maybe people still think i'm still young so give me ang pau. A young working adult and yet i still have ang pau to receive. Not bad. Hahahaha. Get ang pau also no use. Lost quite a bit in gambling. Haha. Usual lah, New Year mah. Once a year. But luckily I'm not a heavy gambler. Cant afford to lose so much money in a short period. Juz gamble for fun. :)

Yesterday was the last day and yet the fireworks are not that happening. Money problem??? I guess so. The cost of the fireworks have increase from year to year.

Nothing much for me to talk about this year CNY. It just seem so bored. Hopefully next year will be more happening. Next year will be the year of the RAT. Hey, that's the year that i was born in.

Anyway, all the best to everyone out there in this PIG Year. Hope you all have a prosperous and good year ahead. Happy Chinese New Year....Gong Xi Fa Cai.
